something funny

.
mood: Bliss.

gosh~
i woke up darn early.
5.30am
and then my stomach starts grumbling.
hungars~
like what else is new.

so decided to post something farnie,
to start the day~

i stumbled upon this while browsing the net.
now i really wonder if such names do exist.

Caller : Hello, can I speak to Annie Wan (anyone)?

Operator : Yes, you can speak to me.

Caller : No, I want to speak to Annie Wan (anyone)!

Operator : You are talking to someone! Who is this?

Caller : I'm Sam Wan (Someone). And I need to talk to Annie Wan (anyone)! It's urgent.

Operator : I know you are someone and you want to talk to anyone! But what's this urgent matter about?

Caller : Well... just tell my sister Annie Wan (anyone) that our brother Noel Wan (no one) has involved in an accident. Noel Wan (no one) got injured and now Noel Wan (no one) is being sent to the hospital. Right now, Avery Wan (everyone) is on his way to the hospital.

Operator : Look if no one was injured and no one was sent to the hospital, then the accident isn't an urgent matter! You may find this hilarious but I don't have time for this!

Caller : You are so rude! Who are you?

Operator : I'm Saw Lee (Sorry).

Caller : Yes! You should be sorry. Now give me your name!!

have a fun day week ahead~

798 Art District, Hotel, Hong Kong.

.
mood: Happy.

2nd January 2008 (Tuesday)

last night at the hotel.

oh ritz calrton, it's because of you, i'm spoilt. thank god. i have my silk comfy-tor now...

regretted for not snapping the new year's display from the room's view.
i didn't know they would remove it the very next day~
too efficient.
unlike *cough cough* country.

for the last day,
we didn't want to go out initially,
but already made the appointment with xiaolu.
so we just woke up very late.

had the late breakfast,
dashed to the art district 798.

pretty far away from the hotel.
but it was worth the visit.

we only then regretted not going out earlier.
the art movement here in china has changed a lot.

buildings of cause has a major revamp,
not just because of the olympics,
but i guess chinese finally figured that there's not much point to live in the past.

and this is also one of the conflict that the people have.
changed are good,
but this is probably too fast for them to adapt.

heritage is not entirely lost, of cause.
since they still spilt everywhere, anywhere
just most structures have had a major revamp.
residential side is still... pretty much rustic.

anyhow, 798 was previously an industrial area.
later turned into a soho art district.
it reminds me a lot of berlin.

For more about 798 Art District, visit Wikipedia.

our last pic and my last meal in beijing so salah...

it's pretty amazing that i managed to visit beijing at the year end,
and to celebrate new year's there with friends i made along the way.
i figured that after coming down to hk,
that is my last "holiday" for the year,
but i ended up going else where.

overall beijing has been superb.
even with the brutal cold. i so miss it!!!
i am so prepared for another negative weather~ just 3 tops. 2 bottoms.

one thing i love about this city is the structure.
how it is divided into 6 different rings,
just like Pareehsss~
can't wait to visit the city of love!

once again,
i did a 'budget trip',
which i ended up spending more than what i budgeted for.
a total of... RMXk. damn!
but nonetheless it was a good experience!

was also kinna funny at the end of this trip back home was to hong kong first.

on the way to the airport

A big HUGE THANK YOU,
to Chee and Xiaolu for the experiencesss!!!

but i already have my favorite songs from the series...

so much to do.
plenty of overly due post...
like all my shopping frenzy
but like i always say... i'm LAZY~
OH... i don't have a shopping issue BTW!
it's just that i like owning nice things,
i mean a LAZY ass like ME?
LIKE SHOPPING? oh come on it's such a hard cardio workout!!!
so happens i like nice new stuffs and they are out there...
waiting to be... MINE. see. that just makessss so much SENSE now.
;o)

to hell with savings...

.
mood: EXCITED!

i just... well...

i have issues.
and it's not just bipolar.
well...

maybe it's from bipolar.
i am entitled to blame something.

i know i'm suppose to be saving for a house this year onwards...
but...
i sorta... saw this...
a few days back...
and i can't stop thinking about it...

i so want need it... i mean... i can... like camwhore better with it?

less than two months left

.
mood: Gloomy.

pasting stuffs makes wonder. i don't have to blog. go figure.

What Daniel Henry Chin Kwok-Fei Means

You are balanced, orderly, and organized. You like your ducks in a row.
You are powerful and competent, especially in the workplace.
People can see you as stubborn and headstrong. You definitely have a dominant personality.

You are usually the best at everything ... you strive for perfection.
You are confident, authoritative, and aggressive.
You have the classic "Type A" personality.

You are very intuitive and wise. You understand the world better than most people.
You also have a very active imagination. You often get carried away with your thoughts.
You are prone to a little paranoia and jealousy. You sometimes go overboard in interpreting signals.

You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It's easy to get you excited... which can be a good or bad thing.
You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don't stick with any one thing for very long.
You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start.

You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone.
You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together.
At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together.

You are relaxed, chill, and very likely to go with the flow.
You are light hearted and accepting. You don't get worked up easily.
Well adjusted and incredibly happy, many people wonder what your secret to life is.

You are truly an original person. You have amazing ideas, and the power to carry them out.
Success comes rather easily for you... especially in business and academia.
Some people find you to be selfish and a bit overbearing. You're a strong person.

You are wild, crazy, and a huge rebel. You're always up to something.
You have a ton of energy, and most people can't handle you. You're very intense.
You definitely are a handful, and you're likely to get in trouble. But your kind of trouble is a lot of fun.

You are a free spirit, and you resent anyone who tries to fence you in.
You are unpredictable, adventurous, and always a little surprising.
You may miss out by not settling down, but you're too busy having fun to care.

You are very open. You communicate well, and you connect with other people easily.
You are a naturally creative person. Ideas just flow from your mind.
A true chameleon, you are many things at different points in your life. You are very adaptable.

You are a seeker of knowledge, and you have learned many things in your life.
You are also a keeper of knowledge - meaning you don't spill secrets or spread gossip.
People sometimes think you're snobby or aloof, but you're just too deep in thought to pay attention to them.

You are very charming... dangerously so. You have the potential to break a lot of hearts.
You know how what you want, how to get it, and that you will get it.
You have the power to rule the world. Let's hope you're a benevolent dictator!

You are well rounded, with a complete perspective on life.
You are solid and dependable. You are loyal, and people can count on you.
At times, you can be a bit too serious. You tend to put too much pressure on yourself.

You are loving, compassionate, and ruled by your feelings.
You are able to be a foundation for other people... but you still know how to have fun.
Sometimes your emotions weigh you down, but you generally feel free from them.

a good day

.
mood: cheerful~

the day started off rocky.

one thing i noticed is that,
when a friend is around you,
silly thought tend to drift away more.

sharon from kl came down,
for a visit.

so far there's been like 3 group of friends dropping by,
since i'm here.
*smiles*

i feel like a tour guide.
HAHA.

anyhow, it feels better with them around.

like yesterday i went shopping alone,
spend like HKD Xk,
and it felt... BORING.
can you imagine that?

but today with sharon... it felt better.
my new roberto cavalli undie... lalalalala

and watching nonsense online helps a little more

saw this sometime back from annie's computer,
when we were bored shooting kfc's ad.
gosh i do miss work a little...

noisy pollution pause button on the center lower part of the cassette

and to top the mood up, you messaged me online!
what a bouncy happy day~

UPDATED
OMG this is SUPER funny!!!
I so WANT this more than elmo now.
LOLs!!!

the perfect date

.
a circle completes all dots.

like all stories and connections,
that passes thru our lives,
they mean something,
when someone comes into your life,
there's a reason for it.

like blogging too,
it's meant to leave something behind,
a memoir, a story, a past.
it is after all an online journal.

when life comes, or any matter to that,
there are good times and bad times,
but all things comes to an end.

and i feel that, if given a choice,
i want my tombstone to end in a circle.

11.03.83 - 11.03.08

it looks damn GOOD!
next round would probably be,

11.03.83 - 11.03.10

so i give myself a countdown,
55 days to go,
and i decide,
what the tombstone shall be like.

i want to be good.
do good.
i want to patch things up.

i say a rosary a day,
hoping that you'll be blessed with love and joy.
i hope you'll be happy always.
i want to see you smile, laugh.
never again i wanna see you sad, with teary eyes.

i still seek for your forgiveness.

i'll make it up to you ben.
i promise.

cause i love you.

but this bipolar depression isn't doing much good.
i don't want to ruin things again.
then there's only one solution to solve it.

coffee prince

.
*a little side track from Beijing's final post*
in your dull sad moment,
your friends comes to the rescue.
with dumb acts you pull onto yourself...

christine: there's this new korean series.

me: yea, what about?

christine: about this rich young lad who's been overly enjoying his life and his grandma got sick with it. made him move back to korea and start a low poor life otherwise off the will.

me:... BORING... same old same old.

christine: he opened a cafe, generally everyone who works there are guys. this girl pretended to be a guy to work there.

me: ok...

christine: and he eventually felt for her. but she's a he right, so the guy thought he was going gay.

me: *sparks up* OH~ what's the name of this series!? *opens crunchy roll, limewire*

christine: coffee *mummbles*

me: ok. coffee prints... ... .... NOTHING! CHRISTINE!!!!! REMEMBER IT NOW!!!

chee: HAHAHAHAHA~ bodoh. kopi putera!

me: print is not putera! it's cetak!

chee:... PUTERA - PRINCE! bukan print!!!

me: OHs~ HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

the things we do to laugh. hilarious. every moment. the jokes are on ourselves.

Sunday 13 January 2008

Great Wall, Cloisonné, Olympic Stadiums, Worms!

.
1st January 2008 (Tuesday)

my body is starting to generate heat to protect me.
*i eventually had a fever without knowing*

after breakfast, a quick one, we met Helen.
she was our tour guide for the day.

we took the private tour mainly cus it was suggested by Bob,
the hotel concierge, that it's safer. fine by us.

we divas, need to travel in style.
but since it's a luxurious hotel,
i pai seh to snap the picture of the limo.

i slept during the 1 hour ride to the great wall.
the part we went was the 'MUTIANYU wall',
was said to be better as it's built on hills,
so much steeper,
and has more original wall compared to the 'BADALING wall'.
but that package was cheaper.

it was freezing~
i have no idea how i survived!
but i doubt i want to do this in the summers,
damn hot~

in the modern days, cable cars existed.
the olden days, you have to hike up before even doing the "walk".
that is, pure madness!

one side is china one side is mongolia.
just amazing. i went two countries in one journey!
LOLs

the view, the scenery, the everything was just amazing.
i always wanted to see the great wall, and there i was.
breathtaking!

being built during apx 220BC, using only man labour, and literally humans,
this is one structure that no humans in the modern world can create,
without the help of technology.

closest i'll get to snow... for now...

so after some hours of walking,
just so i can camwhore
we decided it was enough.
as a man there said,
*a permanent resident there*
you can take 1000 pictures here today but it's all WALLs.
which was kind of true, only different perspectives and angles,
but the view is about the same,
with WALLS as your backdrop.

i know, i camwhored a LOT~

boy oh boy~
the we came up with the cable car,
we went down, with the Tobago?
sudah lupas,
but COOLS!!!
like those sunway lagoon water ride from the hill down.
all the way from great wall down to earth... HAHAHAHA!

FUNs!!!
Helen gets to ride all these for free! damnit! so FUN~
*helen & chee was walking hiking on great wall with heels!*

we went for a quick Cloisonné history tour.
shopped a bit
didn't know that those pots were enamel & copper wire,
always thought they were ceramics.
then lunch. didn't turn out as yummie as we hoped for.

then drove back to town,
helen was kind enough to take us to the olympic village for a quick detour,
considering this was suppose to be a half day tour.

was so amazing lo to see how they build the stadium.

later we went to the silk factory shop,
at first we were thinking...
OH they are going to show us KAINs...
GOOD!
we shouldn't have anything to buy.

turns out... they showed us comforters...
made of silk. soft nice comfty silks.
the process and the cocoons, showing us the worms, etc.
made it worth while... so worth it... so true...
so luxurious...

cloisonné factory & silk shop

i ended up owning a RMB1980 G3 silk comforter...
PENGZ.

then we went to the tea house.
to see a pissing tea boy.
but they don't do english or malay or canto.
that hour was for russian. yea sure.

went to another one which was way simpler.
we ended up with more bags

that wraps up the entire so called half day tour.
helen then asked the driver to send us to Green Tea House,

where i had the most expensive dinner in beijing,
RMB1200 per person without wine or taxes yet.

and SIAL, they don't allow photography.
but die die also we wanted to take,
afterall we sorta flew all the way here just for this restaurant.
and to later find out they have a new outlet in hong kong

so the professional camwhore started doing spy shots.

after dinner chee went back, for her spa, and i headed down to 'The Place Mall' again,
since i so tak puas didn't manage to camwhore with the big lighted tv screen!

was ok la. not that hooo haaa afterall. but BIG nonetheless.

on the way back was so tired, but manage to do a quick snap of this light up drums tower.

... i thinks... haha. forgotten the building's name de. LOLs.

and i ended the night with a swim at the heated pool. splash~

*and eventually found out i'm not suppose to snap the pools picture... OPS*

Saturday 12 January 2008

Big Screen, Lan Club & Wild Life.

.
one of the reason why i shut the blog was,
i had too many pictures,
i don't know how to compose,
i was am lazy to update,
i SUPER lazy to do anything.

but it back fired
there was a sudden interest about ME. suddenly.

and i thought it was a trend to close blogs recently!
damnit!

anyhow,

31th Dec 2007 (Monday)

after a relaxing breakfast,
we made bookings from the hotel for private tour tomorrow,
to the great wall of china.

we then headed down to The Place Mall,
the moment we decided to come beijing,
i wanted to visit some places,
and this shopping mall is one of them.

not to buy stuff but to see the HUGE ass tv screen,
TAPI...
the screen will only BUKA at night, after 6. CELAKA!

so only manage to see this unknown celeb doing rehearsal for the countdown party.

we then went to LAN Club for an early lunch instead,
it takes up the entire 4th floor of the LG Towers,
designed by Philippe Starck.
adrienz... i think you would love this place

there's so many different settings,
mainly fine mis-matched taste.
they offer private party. (sure mahai gila)

even the tandas is damn glamour!
there's a chair to sit, incase you got tired of peeing.

the bill was without a doubt, hefty. RMB280 for a simple meal.
the waitress at first thought we were big spenders... mana tau big camwhorers

we also saw frozen trees outside LG Towers.

so we loiter around silk street road,
lots of cheap fake stuffs here,
too crowded.
way crowded.

one of chee's main agenda was to visit the Green Tea House
so decided to call xiaolu. a beijing friend of mine. to meet up for a tea there.

but was CLOSED.
fuck.
they only open on certain hours.
lunch and dinner.

went to the next door for tea. catch up.
xiaolu then invited us to a private new years eve dinner party.

we took a cab,
went to the 4th ring district to meet up with her bf.
*there's about 6 rings in beijing, forbidden city, the offices, the houses, the i lupa...*
he drives a fancy range rover!
then together with the other cars, we continued.

20 minutes later. we arrived a really cool,
not to mention COLD estate.
it was a private horse range.
and the party was organized by some 798 artists.
*a famous soho district for artists*

it was so rustic. the feeling was like, simply unreal.
did i mention COLD

roasted lamb was in the making at a small room.
then later brought into the main hall.
*you have to heat the food as they get cold easily*
we had so much countryside home cooked food.
DELICIOUS!
i eventually just STOOD there to eat.

felt thirsty, hunt for drink,
i mistook this green looking pallet as water.

xiaolu: daniel, you are very brave!
me:... erm... sorry does it belong to some gangster???
xiaolu: haha. no, but that's chinese alcohol! very strong!
me: oh just like SOJU! in a normal packaging!!! COOLs!
strange uncle: KAMPAI!
me: YA! KAMPAI... *coughs, chokes*

the taste was indeed STRONG.
*hicups*

a large bond fire was in the middle of the estate.
where we gathered and fireworks was constantly fired.
we then went to see the horses.

damn COLD. but COOL.

after the dinner party which ended around 2200,
we went to madam suzie wong's club.
rather fancy but we had to pay, and to stand somemore.

so i didn't want and we went to china doll club instead.
the crowd was... dead.

but that's ok.
we wanted to chill and drink,
and chat,
and cuci mata.
*and i got the first drink for free*

right after the countdown,
*HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!*
we went out, wanted to go home de,
xiaolu then changed her mind brought us for tim sum.
YAYS!

and i saw satay on the roadside. LOLs.

didn't bother taking tim sum,
cuz the cabbie over shot the street,
complicated to do a u-turn.
so actually no tim sum to snap.
we went to another shop for supper.

on our way home,
another cabbie made me sing chinese song to entertain him.
i had to SING.
he was like so... GANAS.
that time was 0300,
and private tour starts at 0900,
so little daniel sang him stephanie sun,
then he was soooo funny.
HAHA!

it was such an amazing day, to end the year and to start a new year!

Thursday 10 January 2008

Forbidden Palace & Tiananmen Square

.
30th Dec 2007 (Sunday)
we started the journey really early.
flight was at 0800. we arrived beijing officially by 1130.
didn't sleep much the previous night.
had some shooting arrangement to do with Leo Lam and Karen Chu.

there was strong turbulence in the air.
pilot maneuver around beijing.
free sky tour. LOL.

the landing was kind of rocky.
we had to do the old fashion coming out of the aircraft.
the temperature was freezing.
it was negative 4.

they are building new terminals to accommodate the olympic

the moment we arrived the hotel.
i noticed my dkny glove is missing.
le sighs!
must have dropped it when we hailed for a cab.

cabs here are pretty decent.
you just need to know mando.
otherwise, you are as good as LOST.

got the leather gloves out.
sigh.

and we immediately went down to forbidden palace.

the palace is just amazing.
can't imagine how life would have been like,
living in the palace during that period.
it's just spectacular.

so damn HUGE.

was freezing cold.
but OK.
my nose lost touch for the moment.
but it was just SHIOKS!

we also visited tiananmen square. which was rather,
unexciting. haha.
people were queuing up in a long line,
just to see the country's flag removed from the pole.
how patriotic.
it happens every evening

the only excitement was the 'imperial guards'.
they melt my nose back to normal.

Wednesday 9 January 2008

shadow

.
it feels unimportant,
but it's delight.

sometimes it's light,
sometimes it's dark.

growing big,
shrinking small.

it appears day and night.

where there's light there's darkness.

where there's mass there's a shadow.

sometimes life can be so...
confusing,
frustrating,
annoying.

but it's about contentment.

i keep reminding myself that.

it's not what we have
it's not what we wear
it's not how luxurious our life is

but it's how we live it

sometimes,

sometimes...

i wonder
if i can live a normal simple life

then i wonder
how would it be like

then it freaks me out
cause, i am way complicated
for a simple life

i don't ask for much
but still, i'm not that simple

i don't need a
dries van noten's shirt

i don't need a
helmut lang's jacket

i don't need a
hermes shoes
or a prada

but yet i'm not that simple
but neither am i that complicated

so lazy to go back to reality
lazy to struggle
lazy to fight
lazy to conquer
lazy to live

oh this depression is starting to turn into a bipolar issue
