Forbidden Palace & Tiananmen Square

.
30th Dec 2007 (Sunday)
we started the journey really early.
flight was at 0800. we arrived beijing officially by 1130.
didn't sleep much the previous night.
had some shooting arrangement to do with Leo Lam and Karen Chu.

there was strong turbulence in the air.
pilot maneuver around beijing.
free sky tour. LOL.

the landing was kind of rocky.
we had to do the old fashion coming out of the aircraft.
the temperature was freezing.
it was negative 4.

they are building new terminals to accommodate the olympic

the moment we arrived the hotel.
i noticed my dkny glove is missing.
le sighs!
must have dropped it when we hailed for a cab.

cabs here are pretty decent.
you just need to know mando.
otherwise, you are as good as LOST.

got the leather gloves out.
sigh.

and we immediately went down to forbidden palace.

the palace is just amazing.
can't imagine how life would have been like,
living in the palace during that period.
it's just spectacular.

so damn HUGE.

was freezing cold.
but OK.
my nose lost touch for the moment.
but it was just SHIOKS!

we also visited tiananmen square. which was rather,
unexciting. haha.
people were queuing up in a long line,
just to see the country's flag removed from the pole.
how patriotic.
it happens every evening

the only excitement was the 'imperial guards'.
they melt my nose back to normal.
